JCAT promotes independence, sense of purpose, and life skills development for adolescents in need through the use of a unique combination approach of animals and OT services, resulting in unified, stronger Ohio communities.
JCAT'S MISSION:
Juvenile Canine Assisted Therapy (JCAT) will connect juveniles who have a history of delinquency with OT services in order to train local rescued shelter dogs, providing emotional support animals free-of-cost to individuals in need. JCAT will serve as a continual resource, providing innovative and reliable services to improve local communities. JCAT will aspire for statewide expansion, broadening the reach of OT services to various populations.
